I am a postdoctoral research scientist at Biozentrum, University of Basel in Switzerland. This is me below!
I work on understanding infectious microbial diseases by carrying out research at the lab bench. I’m using fluorescence microscopy, structural biology and infection assays to answer novel biological questions. My main area of focus is with bacterial virulence nanomachines – the type III and the type VI secretion system.
I have recently finished my PhD at the John Innes Centre and the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK. Before this, I did a Masters degree in biotechnology at the University of Leeds and prior to that I did my undergraduate in biological Sciences at the University of Reading.
